Well, I'm intrigued.
Your teaser has done its duty.
Is Dreamishness trifling with the affection of Beanish? Or did she tell him to create some fun diversions for the Cuties?
So is this going to be how Beanish got into the Action Effigy business (as seen in TotB #21)?
That "Action Effigy" line totally cracked me up the first time I read it...
Holiday special... toy... I get it.
I can't believe I have just now stumbled onto this blog. The prospect of new Beanworld has been keeping me smiling as I've read through every entry.
I saw a copy of TOTB #1 at the first tiny comics convention I ever attended when I was around 12 yrs old. Though dismissed by my older brother, the cover intrigued me enough to purchase it. I loved it and was hooked, and grabbed #3 when it came out shortly thereafter (it took me years to find a copy of #2 for some reason). I remember bringing a number of issues to junior high home room to try to hook other kids. And I sent away for an action figure which I still have somewhere, in the SASE it came in (I think it's the Brite Eyes version). Your mentions of Duchamp in lettercols led me to seek out more info and I've been a fan of his ever since.
The Beanworld remains one of my favorite comics series ever. I have been wishing for its return since the Asylum series. Forgive my longwindedness, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your past work and for bringing us more Beanworld. I would say that I can't wait, but we've waited a long time and I can handle another few months.
